It's fine, it's basically moon trivia. Some useful info about herbs, but kind of a mish mash. Useful intro to the moon as a symbol.

This is a worthy little book; although it's unfortunately rather brief and I can't say that I understand all the things written in it, it's clear to me that it's full of content-- a true book of lore.

It is of the cool old Celts; it's not so into the hype Celt-y Celts.... and don't let's talk about the hype....

The alphabet actually reminds me of the runes-- I'm acquainted with the Younger Futhark-- maybe because of it's having fewer letters.... but maybe it's just, an intangible thing.

.... It certainly makes me want to know more about nature, and the nature of trees. I can't presently actually identify different types of trees, and it would have been nice had it had a little guide about it, identifying trees, that is.... but the lore provides the motivation for it, so I suppose that that's enough. For one book, anyway.

And the poetry is..... well, it's like this:

"I am a stag of seven tines.
I am a lake in the plain.
I am a wind of the sea.
I am a dewdrop in the sun....
I am the roar of the sea.
I am a wave of the ocean."

..... And I'd heard a version of the same in this song by a metal band I used to listen to-- I used to listen to folk metal, but now I don't do metal anymore-- but there's something about a simple paperback lore-book that liberates it from metal and spite, I think....

And, as for the hype-Celts, well....

Look at this instead! Look at what wonderful things can happen in the world when you don't whine about how tough life is!
