The first half of this book talks about using stories to counter behaviour problems such as pinching, being untidy, being shy etc. Perrow gives guidelines for writing your own stories using suitable metaphors. The second half of the book contains a number of stories written to address particular problems. She also includes storytelling suggestions and a helpful form for evaluating storytelling. Although the principles espoused seem sound, none of the included stories particularly appealed.
