I love second chance romance but some don't work and for me this one didn't.

Dual POV.

Constant pushing away from Hero, then 'i can't stay away'.

Heroine constantly, in the past and present throwing herself at the Hero.
I don't like that, I like the Hero to at least do some of the chasing.

Flashback chapters. I found this confusing, the flashback chapters were marked but then is the next chapter also flashback or present day?

Other woman drama.

Hero is basically cheating before and present day.

"When you were with me, were you also with her?” Out of everything, that’s what I want to know. I already know the ending here, and, Liam’s shown me how we started. It’s everything in between that is still a mystery. There are a million things that I could ask him, but honestly, that’s the one that’s eating at me the most. I want to know if he was ever, only mine. I can live with the rest of the unknown.
“Yes.” His voice is adamant. “When you were mine, Abby, my world revolved around you.” He shakes his head, staring wistfully out of the window. “When we were together, fuck.” He snorts. “That shit between us, was just crazy. I tried so hard to resist you, so hard to push you away.”"

He has sex with the heroine, again seems to regret it and then another woman walks in, the same one from his past, and she s pregnant with what he calls 'his daughter' and he begs her to take him back and forgive him.

The Hero says about Letty, the other woman,
Letty’s been distant to me, since everything went down with Abby. She hasn’t asked me anything else about her, nor brought up the fact that I cheated on her with another woman while she’s been busy being pregnant with my child. I’m a real fucking chump like that.'

Even when the other woman let's him go as the baby isn't his, soooo predictable... he still is insisting on staying. I understand he feels an obligation to the care of the baby he's come to think of his but he still isn't fighting for the heroine.

Despite the other woman drama there are no intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
There is a scene where the other woman and the Hero are off in their on/ off relationship and she strips and offers sex but he turns her away. Why he waited for her to strip? Surely when she started removing clothing he knew what was on offer?
It describes her breasts so he let it go that far before saying no.

To me it seemed a jumbled mess.

HEA, if you believe it can happen.
