This book is hot, NOW. It's one of those nonfiction books for kids and young adults that will expire very shortly due to photographs of kids (who will look like outdated "dorks" in just a few hours) and information about technology/internet that will also be obsolete by next year. However, I LOVED it! It's about using the web as a research tool at just the right level for me...(Yeah, I had to get this out of the kid section of the library...I'm THAT lame). I feel that it's "just right" for kids from 5th grade to about 9th grade, although the reading level is probably 5th grade. This is important and relevant content for "21st century learners" who are conducting research; I learned what the word "wiki" means (after I've started using them), how to judge the credibility of a blog as citeable or not (I did learn some new strategies), what "web 2.0" means, and a little bit more about wikipedia than I knew before. I appreciated the great cites suggested for further learning, and the fact that this book has a regularly-updated website to consult due to the fact that much of the information in this book will change rapidly.

Because I don't know anyone personally who is evolving with technology any slower than I am, I recommend this helpful book to kids, its intended audience, teachers of 5th-9th-grade researchers, and homeschooling parents. But get it right away!
