Ridiculous! Don't waste your time. A medical student dies in a car crash and time travels not only to the middle ages but also into a different world where she awakens in the body of a countess. The history of the other world:s kingdoms and players is explained at length (why?), with made-up names, and hard to follow because you don't care and want to get back to the main character. She does not like the dirty castle and proceeds to make her wishes known to the servants by beating on the table, yelling at them, bossing them around and threatening them with whippings (she follows through). She decides the steward is corrupt and has him beaten and killed to get her money back. This story is so ridiculous! Translated from Russian which may explain the high handed behavior with the serfs. The writing or the translation makes for choppy writing and short sentences. Did Not Finish.… (mais)

I could not get through this book. Found myself flipping pages just to read about the main character. Everything else was buzzing in my ear. This book does not have a plot and just buzzes on and on. I cannot figure out what genre to put it into. I will not bother with book 2.
