American Ballads and Songs (The Mocdern Student's… por Louise Pound
An extremely interesting collection. Many of the ballads are standard, but it includes some I rarely see which are interesting reflections of traditional prejudices such as The Romish Lady (A Protestant martyr, presumably 16th century), and The Jew Lady (a variant on the story in Chaucer's Prioress's Tale) . Alaso quite a few cowboty and outlaw songs, including at least one Australian one. (Jack Donahoo).
