I enjoyed this book, well written, flowed easily. The book pulled me in from the start and peaked my interest. It's under 200 pages so you could read it in an afternoon. It was entertaining and I wouldn't mind reading more from Joseph Reiss. He's a good writer. It's very fast-paced and lots of action happening. You don't learn much about the main characters, it's all about what is happening with their jobs and how they can stop attacks on New York. There was even a little bit of humor among Nathan, Diana and Kerwin. If you like espionage then pick this one up. I liked that I didn't have to work at understanding what was going on. It was every easy to know what was going on and even cringe a few times.

I received this book as a Goodreads winner.

I got this for free from the author for a review & he's definitely one to watch. A lot of action, twisty problem, & a likable hero all told in the first person. It read something like a Matt Helm novel & I'll definitely look forward to reading the next.

On the downside, this is a first novel. The hero is a bit too good to be true and there was some detail lacking, but I expect more fleshing out will happen in subsequent books.
