Good book, well written and suspenseful.
My main quibble with this book is that the descriptions of the bloody scenes gave it quite a dark feel.

This was a slow read for me, primarily due to the author's prose. It's not terrible, it's a historical, which to me feels tedious. Anyway, the plot's good, the MC is okay if into self-blame, the 'wolf is great and his fiancée is terrific. I figured out the murder mystery, but I'm old (experienced). I'm not sure I'll read the next book. Maybe in a few months.

In an alternate universe that has Portland, Oregon as its capitol live people divided into Crafts, Arts and Mundane. Guardians are there to keep everyone safe.

In this, the final book of the Ravensblood trilogy, Raven is consulting for the Guardians. Cass, Raven’s fiancée, is employed by the Guardians. Both Raven and Cass work magic. William Blanchard and Eric the Bloody both survived at the end of book 2 and are now out for revenge – in bloody horrible ways. William wants the ravensblood to increase his strength and then take over the world but his strength is not what it once was and healing is required. There is murder of people Raven has known and cared for, attempts to capture Cass, stealth and stealing, an attempt to turn a teen from evil to the light and a whole lot more. There is comradery, romance, bickering, and the groundwork is laid for more books to be told set in this world that still has work to be done by the Guardians. This book does satisfactorily conclude the trilogy with Raven as the main character but also left me wondering what will happen to Sherlock, Ramirez, Rafe, Douglas, Ana and even Raven’s relatives in Australia. I can’t wait to see what Shawna Reppert will write next!

Thank you to the author for the copy of this book to read and review.

Pretty good read. That they're elves is built up for background and abilities, but they don't feel alien. It's a romance, so there are the usual stumbling-blocks you can expect, plus a few you probably wouldn't. It was nice to see a character in Twu Wuv who nevertheless does his duty, whether that was a mistake or not. And the rescue at the end was deeply amusing for some reason, maybe because of who did the rescuing, and how. Worth the read, and I'll be looking for others by this author.
