It took me a long time to read this book. I'd pick it up read maybe half a chapter and have to put it down. I gave Mr. Rogers 1 star for effort, 1 for hos vocabulary and 1/2 for the nice letter and signing the book. I thought it was flowery and the storyhas been done before. please keep trying Mr. Rogers.

It says "The doorway was almost open-all it had to do was kill a little girl. In the Gap between universes, a creature plotted to bring it's kingdom of death and destruction into our world. All it took was the blood of a little girl whose tiny body housed powers no one could understand."

The collection of people brought together to fight evil have some kind of connection to each other. Maria and her daughter Ricky lost husband and father when the plane he was on crashed. Dave lost his wife and son as they were driving to the airport at the same time that the plane crashed. Alan a magician, with the ability to move objects into the gap, saved Dave from killing himself, and Rena, Dave's assistant, was out to get revenge on Alan for killing her brother. Enter John Hill who likes to molest little girls and something evil called Karick.

The book started off really good, but quickly left me confused and having to go back and re-read some parts to figure out who people were. The big finale with the two different scenario's and finding out who Karick was is once again to me confusing and makes no sense. It was a bit of a let down. I am giving it 4 stars because the parts that were good I really enjoyed. I won this from LibraryThing.
