About the Author
Born in New York City, Stuart E. Rosenberg received his rabbinic ordination in 1945 from the Jewish Theological Seminary and his doctorate in 1953 from Columbia University. After serving a congregation in Rochester, N.Y., he was appointed Senior Rabbi of Beth Tzedec Congregation in Toronto in 1956. mostrar mais Known as an outspoken community leader, Rosenberg wrote and published widely. He was also a pioneer in Christian-Jewish dialogue in Canada. In 1976, Rosenberg was honoured by the Jewish Theological Seminary as a lifetime Honorary Fellow "for distinguished service to Judaism." He was appointed in 1982 as Senior Rabbi at Beth Torah Synagogue, where he remained until his retirement in 1990. Stuart Rosenberg died in March 1990. mostrar menos
