This LOA volume contains the most well known historical narratives of D Day & the 1944 British attempt to cross the Rhine which nearly collapsed. The Longest Day was made into a film in the early 60s & remains a standard for war time films. A Bridge Too Far, a narrative of a battle that delayed the end of the war longer because of unanticipated problems. These 2 narratives are based on interviews with those who participated in these 2 events.
