Mathieu Sapin

Humorous fun with a mischievous little girl who lives in the city of Abidjan in the Ivory Coast. Like previous volumes, this collection of three books originally published in French consists of mostly of short six-page strips. But this time around two-thirds of the stories connect to form the epic tale of Akissi's darkest hour: her parents have decided she should go live with her great-uncle in Paris to better her education. Akissi alternates between schemes to derail the plan and having the best time possible with her friends before she leaves. The final third of the book gives us flashbacks to Akissi first meeting her best friend Edmond and her pet monkey Boubou.

As with previous adventures there is some potty humor and neighborhood infants are snatched from their mothers to be used as play dolls.

La fascetta del libro riporta: “il libro che la sinistra italiana deve leggere se vuole vincere”. Dai risultati delle elezioni si può desumere che Bersani & C. erano troppo impegnati a cercare detersivi e smacchianti per perdere tempo a leggere libri. Una battuta, chiaramente, in quanto ritengo che la realtà francese sia estremamente diversa da quella italiana. Dall’altro lato delle Alpi hanno una nazione con una storia fatta di durissimi scontri, ma di confronto sulle idee. La giovane nazione in cui viviamo è soprattutto una democrazia in fasce, non credo che in Francia un comico avrebbe fatto quello che ha fatto qua Grillo. Mathieu Sapin, comunque, fa un lavoro, come si dice, politicamente corretto, anche se a me una certa idea della sinistra, anzi della guache, inizia ad andare sulle palle. Nulla di nuovo, sotto il sole, anzi, un candidato Hollande che porta un progetto politico innovativo, se non nella sostanza nella forma, rispetto a Sarkozy. Sono anni di crisi, è facile che vinca la freschezza di chi arriva, la gente, tranne che da queste parti, ha bisogno di fiducia, di credere in un sogno. Comunque, il fumetto è mediocre, insomma, lo dovevo dire.… (mais)
