The book was a bit dated, but it still gave me more insight into the world of Karl Marx - a very selfish man! I found it to be very ironic that he came from a family of rabbis but was antisemitic. His wife sounded very interesting, I would really like to read more about Jenny.
An excellent introduction, chapters arranged by governmental responsibilities. Readable.

Given that it was written in the early 1950s, I was curious about how the author would deal with slavery. It's of course discussed, but certainly not to the degree that most of today's books are.
Still, given my knowledge of our third president, I feel like this is a well written biography about one of America's greatest Founder.… (mais)
