Better than many episodes, even if it does suffer from deus ex betazoid. Art takes a bit getting used to, but the overall noir feel works.

Fascinating
This is a fictionalized account of the security breach at fictional business similar to Target that resulted Russian criminals stealing customer credit card information. Author Scot provides enough detail to understand what went wrong in the information technology security but not so much that it overwhelms the reader. Anyone who owns a computer or works on the computer can learn from this incident, which hurt thousands of fictional individuals and severely harmed one company’s reputation and business.… (mais)

In a few ways, this is the best of the Moonstone Kolchak books I've read so far (Fever Pitch, Get of Belial, and the original movie adaption). The art (by Greg Scott) is darker than the others and more "realistic" which makes the story more mysterious and "ups the stakes" a bit. Also, Henderson makes heavy use of his prose background by having most of the dialogue be Kolchak's monologue of basically narrating the story: he's relaying what happened to his editor friend and this works very well. My only complaints are that the ending seemed kind of abrupt (all of a sudden Carl seemed over his trauma) and there were a few parts of the story where the art was a little lacking in clarity as far as accurately showing what the text described). I liked this quite a bit.… (mais)
