I was given a copy of this book for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are mine.
While this book would be considered a romance, and touches on the effects of a lie-of-omission to a relationship, for me it is more about what effects a family member’s suicide has on others. I personally have been affected by a suicide. And while (unlike Saige) I was not there to witness it, nor there right after, I knew the struggle of trying to understand what drove my younger brother to do this. I am affected every year on the anniversary of that day, every holiday, and, most especially, his birthday. And, while I do not have the nightmares that Saige has, there are undoubtedly many people around the world who have experienced what Saige did.
My hope is that anyone who reads this story, and/or knows someone who has experienced what Saige did, can now understand (even if just a little bit) that sometimes the past isn’t as nice for some as it is for others. And that sometimes, when someone has an off day, there may be more to it than what you are lead to believe.

3.5 stars

I was expecting a full length book not one that ended at half way and then added a bonus book. Normally, I love this author. However, despite the promise this book had it fell short.

I am not sure what to say about this one! Holy wow! This is definitely a series that I am very glad I didn't pass up! I am a sucker for plot twists, dead bodies and mysteries. I definitely got my fill in this one!

First off, I am STILL hungry for some spaghetti! For real. You will be too after reading this second book in the series.

In all seriousness, this book gave me a thrill. I was on board the train in the first one. This one derails and jumps tracks in the best way imaginable. I loved it. I devoured it. Rebecca's talent is showcased in this series as a whole. It could not have been any better!

On top of everything, the emotions were flowing deep in all through this book. You will need some tissues. Kudos to Rebecca. I don't get shaken up easily.

So with all of this gushing, you are probably wondering why this isn't a five star review. With my five stars, I always need that extra something. I think with this one, I expected a little more shock and awe than I received. I was shocked and awed, but I wanted more. Other than that, I loved this book to no end!
