Don't read it, please. This book reads like a long ramble of complaints, with unbelievable characters that were not likeable at all. Way too much repetition; yes we got that the protagonist got married at 19. It did not have to be repeated on every other page. Along with so many other tiny details, as if this was a children's book.

There is a lot one can learn from the story and it was good to read a book from an Indian author in an idyllic setting and not in an urban setting. It is a 3.5 star read for me. I appreciate the extensive research and effort put in by the author. She does an extraordinary task at vividly painting the picture of the rural setting , you feel a part of it.… (mais)
