This is so close to a 4 star book, but the MC was an idiot and I had to withdraw a star because of her.

Mortality surprised so much – I don’t know what I was expecting but it was definitely not this. Maybe it was the cover that made me think that the story would be weird and boring. (Maybe you can tell I’m not a fan of the cover!) But this was so much better than I imagined.
The story is told from to points of view – Zarah and Savannah. I quickly became a bigger fan of Zarah than Savannah. I actually that Savannah was somewhat of an idiot must of the time. She misses the most obvious things and she seems so stupid and pigheaded. At the same time her self-esteem is beyond bad and she blames herself for EVERYTHING! She even blames herself when it’s not even remotely her fault. That got old pretty fast!
Zarah, on the other hand, is so interesting and she became more and more so during the story. By the time I made it to the end of the book, I kind of wanted Savannah’s point of view to just disappear so I could focus on Zarah!
The story is really intriguing and I loved the story, the setting and especially the zombie – they were so cool! I can’t wait to get my hands on the second book!

Fairy Tale confessions is amazing!! Each story is short, but incredibly well written. Its amazing how much you can fall in love with the characters in such a short time. My favorites were Blayze and Ash by Jessica Sorensen and Caged by LP Dover. Both stories are so engaging you won't want them to end. You get sucked in so deep! Seriously, get this book! Fairy Tale Confessions is perfect if you love romance, fairy tales, magic, mystery, and/or evil villains! There isn't a bad story in the bunch!

End Dayz is an epistolary novella introducing you to the world of The Hitchhiker Strain. Through letters and diary entries it tells the stories of four young people after the ever-so-written-about zombie apocalypse. These four will be supporting characters in the first book, Mortality, but the main character of Savannah is mentioned in End Dayz. This novella does what it should do as a prequel. It introduces me to the characters, the setting, and gives me a reason why some zombies are faster and smarter than others. I rated it only two stars because as a stand-alone novella it didn't work for me. But if you are curious about The Hitchhiker Strain then reading this novella is a good place to start. I will be reading Mortality, so this prequel has clearly done its job.

An interesting take on the zombie apocalypse, starring two opposite but sympathetic characters you can't help rooting for.
