The theme is human greed. The main character is a married man that is willing to do anything to hold on to what he has acquired. And when I say anything, I mean ANYTHING. A good story that could have been even great, but I feel the author’s main character gotten a bit to extreme to my taste, in fact to such a degree that mid through the book what had been a tragedy changed into a parody.

I didn't finish it. I watched the movie & it was just as disappointing as what I imagine the book would've been.

The first half of the book was reading about a group of people who are all just unlikeable. Then you move on to them doing something very stupid. And then the decision making continues to get worse until …. Well I guess that’s a spoiler.

I didn’t care about the characters or what was happening to them. For similar but better quality horror, read The Troop by Tim Cutter

This was good, but so, so, so, so, so gross.
