Caiplie Caves took me places I didn't know I even wanted to go and reminded me of some locations I would've forgotten.

The Road in is Not the Same Road Out forced me to slow my reading due to the structure of the syntax and the breadth of images and addresses. In my favorite poems, such as "Bitumen, " the landscapes like the words rolled out into worlds that felt familiar and strange, as if a postcard I bought already written on yet came to believe I received in the mail.

I felt meh about the first three sections but really enjoyed section IV on. I read section IV to the end while at a lake house, during a winter storm, so maybe I had to be in a certain frame of mind to enjoy them.

This was a beautiful collection of poetry that was heart grippingly good. It is a book I will definitely reread and I am so pleased to have heard of it and found it.
