The ultimate goal of the bus ministry should be to win not only children to Christ, but entire homes. This book contains the principles which has undergrided the success of this author in bringing entire families to Christ through the agency of the bus ministry.
This book does a very good job of comparing and contrasting the details surrounding the KJV and other English versions. The KJV stands out as the version that God kept and purified for the English language.
The chapters are as follows: chapter 1, God gave pastors, chapter 2, Sheppard the flock, chapter 3, love the people, chapter 4, help the people, chapter 5, preach the word, chapter 6, do the work of an evangelist, chapter 7, take the oversight thereof, chapter 8, study to show thyself approved, chapter 9, pray without ceasing, chapter 10, a servant's heart, chapter 11, flies in the ointment, chapter 12, three final commands.
The best point of the book is is what he stated on page 14 "great preaching and administrative skill will never take the place of pastoring one's people."
He emphasizes how a pastor will be there when his people need him. He uses his father as an example the faithful pastor who shepherded God's people. He emphasizes strongly the need to love the people of God. A pastor to seek out those who are discouraged, lonely, or troubled be prompt and faithful hospital visits. Be a friend of the people.
