These Broken Stars is a YA dystopian sci-fi by Australian author Amie Kaupfman, set in outer space, the first in a series.

The story begins aboard the spaceship Icarus which is suddenly and catastrophically yanked out of hyperspace. Spoilt rich girl Lilac LaRoux and war hero Tarver Merendsen find themselves as survivors on a strange new planet. The setting seems to be predominantly the backdrop for a fairly stereotypical enemies-to-lovers romance. Flipping through before I start reading to make sure nothing stands out, that I wouldn't want to read I found too much bad language. :( So back to the library the book goes.
