A fantastic book I have had since I was young. The story of little ferry boat's pluck and recovered self-esteem is worthy. I especially love this book for the wonderful illustrations in line and crayon which capture the jaunty naivete of Australia in the mid-1960s, as well as the excitement and fashions of Australia's largest city. Hairy chested ferry engineers, hatted office workers and bohemian beatniks mingle.
