★★★½☆

“And yet, Yoshida-sensei has not written about Masashi, once Japan’s most feared, infamous swordsman…?”

“He has not,” returned Holmes, with a secretive smile. “But perhaps that account is coming soon – finally…”

The mystery was boring and the Japanese words used seemed ridiculous and out of place at times, like the author had done the research and wanted to throw it all in even in places it wasn't needed.

A nice little short mystery. Ennin and his "sidekick" have a similar relationship as Sherlock Holmes and Watson. I've already downloaded more of the books in this series. They're all very short and free (at the moment).

This was a rather nice short story. It had a very nice twist to it at the ending that wasn't foreseen. I enjoyed reading it. Kept my attention from start to finish.
