Not only are the pictures professionally done but the flies pictured, where posssible, are tied by the origiinator of the patterns. When you look at a specific fly, you know you are looking at it as the originator intended it to be, not a fourth generation version. This makes this book important as a historical reference of steelhead flies. In most cases the flies pictured are not the presentation flies that should be framed but a fly intended to be fished and is already a proven fly.
