A short, entertaining peak into the life and work of PopAction choreographer, Elizabeth Streb. She is both brilliant and insane. A enjoyable and informative read.
The thing I like about signing up for "book subscriptions" from publishers is that I receive books that I wouldn't necessarily hear about or read otherwise. This is one of those books. At time the philosophical meanderings about space, time and motion got to be a bit too much for me, but otherwise I found this to be quite an enlightening book. I did find it helpful to watch a few clips of the STREB shows on YouTube first to get some context. It's amazing what she has managed to choreograph and the talent of not only ES herself but her dancers as well.… (mais)
