I thoroughly enjoyed reading BLOWBACK: A THRILLER by James P. Sumner. Adrian Hell is the world's best assassin. A man that's indestructible! The story is compelling and held my interest from the very beginning. It is action-packed and full of surprises. I had to suspend my thoughts of reality in many of the fight scenes as he takes on overwhelming odds and escapes with minimal damage. This is the first book I've read by this author, and I have already purchased the next installment to see how he and Ruby handle retirement. Highly recommended.… (mais)

I received a free advance review e-copy of this book and have chosen of my own free will to post a review. Amazing ending to the Adrian Hell Series. There are shades of Dan Brown in this book. Is this really the end or will there more for Adrian and Ruby? Will Adrian recreate himself? I like the way James writes. I find the verbal exchanges between characters to be real as in real life situations. They are all things I've heard before, that people really say to each other in everyday situations. It is obvious that the author has done a great deal of research in back grounding this book. James has done it again. Another winner by James Sumner that is well worth the read. I received a free advanced review copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. This was a great book full of twists and turns. The action never quits and there are a few surprises. Adrian is an assassin for hire, ‘the best in the world.’ He is a different kind of assassin who likes to meet his clients face to face and he seems to have a conscience. I enjoyed the interaction between Josh and Adrian and the continued references to songs that fit the situation, many of them my favorites. I like Adrian’s sarcastic humor. This is a well-written book and the characters are fully developed. I hope to read more about Adrian and Josh in the future.… (mais)
