3.5 stars. A great adventure story! When I read the dedication I was confused, as the main character is a boy. But once you read t the book, you realize what it means and I love this aspect of the book! The story does end a bit abruptly but I’m sure it concludes in the second part of the duology, which I will now have to read. (Sigh)

As much as I loved the first book, this book does not mesure up. The begining was great, but it ended in the sort of way that doesn't really have an ending. But I liked it anyway, and still reccomend the series!!

I didn't love it as much as I did the first two, but it was a nice in-a-bow conclusion of the MapMakers!

Ohh...I love this book! A gread fantasty with lots of adventure and danger. I love the premise: racing to the end of the world to make a map of the world for the king.
I love the quick, clever characters and the setting of being at sea.
