(Aarne Michaël) Tallgren, became a professor of archaeology. After graduating from the Finnish Girls' School in 1906, she made study trips abroad to France , Italy and England. She worked as a literary editor for the newspaper Helsingin Sanomat in 1910-1925, as a member of the editorial board in 1913-1922 and at the State Literature Expert Board in 1918-1925. She was also a playwright at the Turku Theater in 1928-1929 and worked as an adviser to the National Theater in 1931-1935.
