Cheryl Lu-Lien Tan is the New York-based author of A Tiger in the Kitchen: A Memoir of Food and Family. A native of Singapore, she is a former staff writer at the Wall Street Journal, her work has also appeared in the New York Times and the Washington Post, among other publications. She has been an artist in residence at Yaddo and the Djerassi Resident Artists Program. Joe Meno (Office Girl, The Great Perhaps) is a novelist, writer of short fiction, playwright, and music journalist based in Chicago. Richard Thomas edits Curbside Splendor's Dark Horse imprint, along with the anthology The New Black. Ben Tanzer (My Father's House, You Can Make Him Like You) is director of publicity and content strategy at Curbside Splendor and can be found online at This Blog Will Change Your Life. He lives in Chicago with his wife and two sons. Mei-Ling Hopgood is author of How Eskimos Keep Their Babies Warm and Lucky Girl and an award-winning journalist. She is an associate professor and director of global initiatives and evaluation at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Refreshments will be served.
