This book read like a livejournal post instead of a book. Rambling, grammatical errors, repetition, you name it. The author stated that she wrote the book rather than go to therapy because she doesn't have health insurance and writing the book was "cheaper." As a therapist, all I want to say is please go to therapy. You are in your 50s, you show a history of poor decision making and you defend your ex-husband's behavior which is clearly abuse. I'm all for a good love story and I can get behind the whole this is crazy, we just met, let's get married thing but when the warning signs are that blatant, it's just not good. I don't want to attack this woman which is why I was hesitant to write a review but the whole book was icky, unnecessary and made me want to throw my Kindle across the room. If it wasn't for a challenge, it definitely would have been a DNF.… (mais)
