The World's First SWAT Team: W. E. Fairbairn and… por Leroy Thompson

Since I heard about Mr Fairbairn and Mr Sykes I was looking for books that will shed some light on their life and adventures.

This book offers great deal of information on Shanghai Police Department in period between world wars, challenges they had to tackle and approach Fairbairn took to handle the situation in the best possible manner.

Very interesting read, especially for military enthusiast and historians. Book that proves once again that well thought approach to problems is the one that will survive the trial of time and prove its usefulness time and time again.

Highly recommended.

The Beretta M9 Pistol (Weapon) por LeRoy Thompson

This book was a good, solid review and history of the M9. I chose to read it since I was once a member of a small gun club and enjoyed using this pistol. It is a beautiful piece of machinery, simple practical and efficient. The author provides the same in this book. Enjoyable for anyone interested in small arms.

The US Army in Vietnam por Leroy Thompson

A useful guide to the US army in Vietnam which concentrates heavily on the combat arms and their deployment, operations and organisation. It is abit dry so don't expect a ripping tale but it delivers what it says it will and there is some quite interesting information here if you look.
