Thompson was born in Maryland and has lived in Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. She received her BAAS from the University of Delaware, and worked in its main library for 35 years.
She began writing her first book, "Seabird" in 1979, and completed drafts of it and of "Earthbow" by the mid-80's. Once she retired (in 2000), she took up writing where she had left off fifteen years earlier. It was finally her chance to write full time!

I received this for free from Members Giveaway. The book was ok. It's a collection of short stories and poems. Some were confusing to me and I didn't understand it completely. Others didn't end and were left wide open which also left me frustrated.

Tree House Tales is my work so, instead of a review, I invite you to read the following blog entries at “The Daily Scroll”:
"Thinking Outside The Box About Something Outside The Box"
http://scrollchamber.blogspot.com/2014/12/thinking-outside-box-tht-again.html
A humorous account of how Tree House Tales came to be, followed by its Table of Contents.

“Now For Something Completely Different”

An extract from the THT novelette, “The Last Battle”.

Please note! "Seabird an Invitation" is only the first half of the book originally published as just "Seabird" in January 2008. The second half of the book (aka "Seabird...Three Tombs") may possibly be found online at B&N or Smashwords--but I make no promises. As for a review: this part is good as far as it goes, but it stops abruptly, leaving virtually every plot thread dangling.

This anthology is full of creepy goodness! Contributions from eight authors give readers a variety of writing styles, all captivating in their own way. Anthologies can sometimes be difficult to rate, since some stories and authors can be much better than others. But this one left me with no such dilemma. A great read, from start to finish.
