Good reference for some how to's. I often refer back to knit for knitting gloves and modifying sweaters for larger sizes.
For an older book, this was fairly forward thinking in its shapes--it even said that people have different shapes! That's a sentiment that you hear more often today, not 30 years ago.
It did a good job of taking common things and not-so-common things and showing the shapes in them. It does a good job of describing various shapes, including shapes that aren't often included in children's books (sphere, etc). I enjoyed reading this to my kids and trying to get them to point out the various shapes in the different pictures, and I think they enjoyed it too.
