This book is about different creatures that are in a race with each other. Who will win the race: Will it be the snail the horse, or maybe the cheetah. This story teaches young children to count in different ways.

My son and I read this story together the other day and had a good time reading and looking at the pictures. As a mother of young school-age children, this book was helpful in getting my child to start counting.

As a classroom extension I would have the students draw a picture of their favorite character and write how far or how fast their character was able to go.… (mais)
