I overestimated the quality of this book. Having recently finished [b:Tea with the Black Dragon|435415|Tea with the Black Dragon (Black Dragon, #1)|R.A. MacAvoy|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1347649483s/435415.jpg|1261690] I was expecting something similarly well written, with the same amount of mystery. Boy, was this novel predictable. I had the whole thing pegged out by 1/3 of the way through. It was not worth the time (as little as it may have been) it took me to read it.

I loved the cat element. The main character could have been much stronger. By that I mean both as a character element in the novel as well as in the way an independent female should be these days. I will not be reading any sequels, though for what it was it did what it should have.… (mais)
