Salem's mom Ruby has been hired to redo the inside of Baverstock Hall. Once there Salem starts seeing her dead little sister and other ghost of children. When the owner of the estate is found murdered Salem starts to investigate. With her friend Tim, they discover an ancient legacy involving a witch called Red Meg, who desperately wants to come back among the living.

The story has flashbacks to the past where we learn that the estate used to be a workhouse where children were forced to work and die there. The characters were well written and the story moves quickly. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. I received this from Goodreads.… (mais)
