Evie Brooks loved to run, ran as a child and youth and dreamed of running when asleep. Her mother never told her that at some point in her life she might shift shape and become a wolf. Waking from a fever at her grandparents’ home is a surprise but only the first of many that will occur as her life takes on a new dimension. This was a quick read with an ending that left me wondering what would happen next. This YA book was well written, engaging and the type of book I imagine teens would enjoy reading. I didn't like the ending. The author intended for a cliff-hanger to entice you to read the next story, but leaving the story the way he did was like when you just stop talking in the middle of a sentence. There was a lot of stuff going on in this book, but not all of it explained. We have a hunter looking for evidence of 'something' hired by an unknown 'someone'. He ends up going off to 'someplace' to do 'something else'???? We also have an almost feral Erica who decides to go off with her Uncle to do feral wolfie stuff. She actually wants to eat the mysterious hunter, but I think that will be saved for another time. Overall, it was a good story.
