This Cinderella retelling is twisted… in a good way. This was such a wonderful book! In this book, instead of the sweet angelic girl we’re used to hearing about whenever someone mentions Cinderella, there is a scheming, intelligent girl who uses magic to get beauty. Also, the twist on Prince Charming is definitely… interesting. I mean, it certainly puts a twist on the classic tale.
I love how Ella knows she’s evil. She’s evil, but at least she owns it, instead of lying to herself about it. Even though we see how bad the characters can be, we fall in love with them anyways. And by the end of the book when you connect the dots and realize whose tale this really is… brilliant. Just brilliant. This is an amazing dark Cinderella retelling, put together wonderfully and I praise Anita Valle for this and the entire series.… (mais)

This was, hands down, the *BEST* book in the series. You do need to read books 1-3 or a lot of this won't make sense, and while they aren't as good, it's totally worth it to get to this one! If I could rate this higher than five stars, I would. There's so much I want to say, but I don't want to give any spoilers, so let's see if I can condense this down. It's a brilliant new twist on the Beauty and the Beast fairy tale, with characters we've come to know from previous books back in the mix. I loved how everything played out, and thought Valle really outdid herself in finishing off this series. This book makes me want to check out her other series!… (mais)
