During her childhood in California, Becky frequently produced homemade plays starring her sisters, friends, and cousins.  These plays almost always featured a heroine, a prince, and a love story with a happy ending.  She's been a fan of all things romantic ever since.
Becky and her husband lived overseas in the Caribbean and Australia before settling in Dallas, Texas.  It was during her years abroad that Becky's passion for reading turned into a passion for writing.  She published three historical romances for the general market, then put her career on hold for several years to care for her kids, then recently returned to writing sheerly for the love of it.  She felt led to move to the genre of contemporary Christian romance and couldn’t be more thrilled with it.
These days Becky can be found failing but trying to keep up with her housework, sweating at the gym, carting her kids around town, playing tennis, hunched over her computer, eating chocolate, or collapsed on the sofa watching TV with her husband.

I loved this book! It was my most-anticipated of the series and it did not disappoint in any way.

Isn't it so cool that Britt is a chocolate maker? I would highly recommend that you have chocolate near you because of that. From figuring out recipes to Zander trying and naming ingredients in a chocolate, this book has sweet moments scattered throughout.

The character development was amazing and Britt really grew and learned that she does NOT have to be perfect 100% of the time and it is okay to lean on Zander and her family when she is struggling. That might not seem like much of a character growth to some, but once you 'get to know' Britt, you see what I mean.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a sweet read.

My favorite Becky Wade yet!
Told in dual POV from Jude and Gemma (with a few side perspectives from Max, Jude’s half brother, and Fiona, Jude’s mother), this book is full of romantic tension, mystery and suspense, family relationships, and beautiful settings. I seriously want to go to Maine and explore now. I’ve never been, and Becky brought the place to life with her words.
The romantic tension in this one kept me so engaged from the very beginning. I was fully invested in Jude and Gemma. I liked each of them and was very intrigued by how they would get brought together.
I loved the several side plots going on, with Gemma’s cousin and the illegal activity that brought FBI agent Jude to Gemma’s life in the first place; Jude’s mom, Fiona, and the scandal she incited many years previous and her efforts to reconcile with her sister; and the mystery surrounding Gemma’s grandma (who is such a sweetheart!). While there were several things going on, I didn’t feel like they detracted from the main story between Jude and Gemma and just added to the overall book.
There are a number of Christian elements throughout this book, but I felt like they were balanced very well. I loved this one so much! And cannot wait for the next installment.
**
AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: Narrated by Reba Buhr and Ryan Hudson—I enjoyed this narration and liked that there were two different voices to narrate the respective male and female POV chapters. It’s a narration I would listen to again and would recommend for anyone who enjoys audiobooks.

If you read my review for book 1 of this series you know that it wasn't my favorite of her books BUT hear me out this one was SO different. This one had all the elements that reminded me why I love her so much as an author. There was witty banter, a grumpy/sunshine/fake dating trope that was perfection and the faith threat was present. I also enjoyed the small storyline of Gemma's grandmother. I thought it was a great addition to the overall story.

Gemma and Jude were great characters and you couldn't help but smile as you turned the pages. The way their relationship progressed through the story was believable. They definitely had their swoony moments and did I mention the romance was perfection?!

Although this is part of the series and Jude does get introduced in the first book I don't think it will take away if you pick this one up first. You will see the characters from the first book in this one as they are family but you will not be lost by reading them out of order. I can't wait to see what she does with the third brother's storyline in the next book. I am definitely looking forward to reading it.

Overall if you enjoy romantic stories then you will definitely enjoy this one. If you have read stories by Becky Wade before this one will take you back to her earlier works as it did me. Either ways I think you will enjoy it and should go grab it!

I received a copy of this book from the author for review. I was not required to post a positive review. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
