The first edition was an outstanding resource. This edition has several new features including more examples of how assessment can be infused into the teaching process, more discipline-specific examples of effective assessment, and an expanded section on program assessment. This is a great resource for those beginning to think about course assessment or those who are not pleased with the role of assessment in an existing course.
Get this to defend yourself from administrators who want to do something different from what it presents. They will thank you for it in the end.
