Fantastic book. I won a copy of this book in a contest and boy am I happy about that! It is a first from this author and it sure won't be my last! I loved everything about. Ash is dreamy as hell balancing a naughty mouth and romantic side. Olivia is feisty, sassy, and her inner monologues are funny as hell. I laughed, teared up, and was immersed in this story. The other character interactions and conversations were a hoot. Some great one liners in there.I am now going back to reading the first two books and eagerly awaiting Jason's story.… (mais)

I have mixed feelings about this book.
They are married but split up.
The reason is eluded to as "her" throughout the first part of the story and at first other than being another woman I thought it could be the military as one of their issues is.
The heroine feels the Hero always puts the military first.
When they first meet it's very Insta love so maybe they have issues as they haven't really built a good foundation by getting to know each other first.
I don't have a full understanding of living as a military family as that's not my life but if she knew this was a commitment for him for however long he is signed up for then you can't really complain that he is in your life then away again.
At the same time he describes their relationship to a mate later as them locking themselves away when he came home for a short time so it could seem, esp to the reader, like a booty call.
This is his life at the moment, that's what a marriage to him will look like or you know its for a set time before he gets out and takes a different career.

The other issue is when he gets out he doesn't seek her out, in fact she goes to him, otherwise you get the impression they never would have got back together.
I didn't think this fitted with his 'alpha' personality we see later on.
At the same time, she doesn't remember but things happen at the time of the breakup and he did try then and she was harsh.
The 'she' is a daughter they lost who was died prebirth.
This is handled really well. It's emotional and very heartbreaking.
One thing I really liked was they were both celibate during the separation which I think was 4 years esp the Hero as his workmates assumed he was with women.
For the Hero he says there will never be anyone else.
There is another issue with his father.
The Hero's actions a disappointing after they decide to make a go of it, he is cruel and lashes out.
I would wonder if I crossed him in the future would he lash out at me again. The circumstances are extreme but still he is supposed to love her to bits so....

No cheating.
No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine.
HEA.
References to characters from books earlier in the series,I assume, I haven't read them yet.
Dual POV.
Flashbacks to original meeting.

Happily Ever After.

This series just keeps getting better and better. From the first paragraphs to the last I was sucked into the vortex of Jodi's mind. Hope is hands down one of the most feisty characters I have ever read. Rather than falling into the typical stereotype of waiting for the prince to come and whisk her away to lives happily ever land, she carves her storybook ending. Her wit, and joy are delightful. Especially, as her younger years were quite tumultuous. Then there is Beckett. Sweet holy hell. This man is could melt a girl faster than an ice cream cone on a hotter summer day in Arizona. Their dialogue and connection was cute as they grew in their relationship. The entire story kept me from doing anything but eagerly swiping to the next page in order to see what happens next.

I cannot wait until Asher's story. Kudos on another fantastic story Jodi.
