Basic tax reference for intermediate to advance taxpayers

Indexed for easy find of specific info on deductions and credits. It is very comprehensive but from the 1001 tax breaks claimed, maybe 10% will apply to most taxpayers. Examples are easier to understand than in other tax books. It is a good reference book, but you need to know what you are doing. The book's tone is very dry, and it feels like a summary of the tax code....yawn.

The book doesn't seem to change much from year to year. The publisher hasn't spent any time or money to improve it. There is too much bold text; the pages are printed on poor quality paper; there is no good hierarchy of headings; it is hard to tell which subsections are under what benefit.… (mais)

As a self employed business owner I need all the knowledge I can get on taxes. I have a CPA but I need to understand the laws, deductions and other "tricks" to feel confident when I present my tax forms. I found a wealth on information here is an easy to understand for the layman. I even caught myself understanding some of this mind twisting tax stuff. Why does it have to be so complicated ? Thankfully we have books such as this to help us waddle trough the muck and present a clean return.
I didn't care for the Kindle forma much. It was hard to find sections I was looking for. I ended up purchasing the hard copy for my desk.… (mais)
