Excellent book by current Polish Camaldolese hermit priest, author of several books, with this the first translated to English. Very helpful overview and compendium both of eremitic life. Inspired me; reminded me of various aspects which have been swept under the mat since my last eremitic book-read. I particularly found various points made a lot of sense, such as the hermit being a gift for and to the Church, thus consecration in the Church of value. The author is thorough in aspects of the hermit life without being redundant in details.… (mais)
