The Art of Italy in the Royal Collection: R… por Martin Clayton
This is the catalogue for a superb exhibition held at the Queen's Gallery in London in 2007. All the exhibited paintings and drawings have very thorough entries, complete with introductory essays on the assembly of the Royal Collection and the popularity of Italian art in England. Particularly exciting is a recently-rediscovered Caravaggio. Just one note: despite the catalogue's title, there are no works in the exhibition which predate 1500.
