Memoirs of a Mountain Guide por Lou Whittaker
Very good read. Good detail of the history of both climbing and guiding on Rainier. Great personal stories of growing up in Washintgon, guiding, leading climbing expeditions, establishing businesses, ethics, loyal friends and so on. Some history on the town of Asherton Washington, culture in the Himalayas, and the national park guide service management policies.
Good mountaineering book from a local boy. I have followed the Whittaker brothers' adventure for many years.
