Dan talks about all of the things he experiences as a kid that he'll try to remember for life. Some experiences, however, are ones deemed not worthy of remembering.

To be honest, I couldn't stand this book. Nothing in the text or illustrations made me interested, and I could not bring myself to keep reading it. I thought I would have liked it by the title and how there is a kid and an older girl sitting by a tree, but I was wrong.

Daniel is worried. Dad and Marilyn want to tell him something, but in person - so he has to wait. Now he is creating these scenarios in hi head. What could it be? With all the talk about what he was worried about, I honestly read over what the surprise was and had to go back to find it because I had gotten confused. However, I also feel that I was put in the reader's place as if I was told that information, it would take me longer to process it and come to terms with it. I feel it a a mature read for those who are ready for it.… (mais)

This is about a little boy with divorced parents. One day his dad calls and tells him he has to talk to him about something important, but wants to tell him in person. The problem is that he does not go to his dads till the weekend. Until then he is left nervous and anxious what he has to say. He thinks of all the possible things it could be. As his mind wonders, he also thinks about what will be remembered and what will not be remembered. Will this visit be something he remembers? By the end of the story we find that his dad and his new step mom are having a baby. He doesn't quite know how to take it. So, he ask a bunch of questions.
