Lola Dutch wants to figure out what she wants to be when she grows up. But the options, are just too much. With the help of her animal friends Lola picks different occupations and tries them out to help her come to her decision. In the end, she realizes that all she wants to be is a kid and learn about everything. I think this book sends an important message for not just kids but parents too. It echoes the message to let kids be kids and don't put pressure on them to be anything more than that. This book while fun and entertaining, would also be cool for incorporating into lessons. Lola Dutch is a little girl who aspires to be everything! She changes her mind on what she wants to be when she grows up so many times that readers lose count! However, the story ends with Lola realizing that she has time to grow up and for now she can just enjoy learning about everything! This book was a joy to read. It teaches a valuable lesson to younger kids who feel they need to have their mind made up on their future at such a young age! As Lola realized she has a lot of time to figure it out, so do the readers! You have your whole life to explore and learn about everything!… (mais)

Lola Dutch jumps into the day with energy and creativity that can wear down her friends. Eventually, like most energetic children, Lola Dutch exhausts herself and seeks the comfort of a hug.
Bright gouache and watercolor art accompanies the lyrical text in this adorable book. Lola Dutch is a memorable character right alongside Olivia and Madeleine. Listeners and readers will love the bright and detailed illustrations and anticipating what Lola Dutch will do next. Read. Enjoy. Share.
