The Great Easter Egg Controversy!

When five dogs find an egg outdoors, they clash about either eating it, or decorating it for Easter. As they fight back and forth, a large bear wearing bunny ears steps in. He takes the egg, and shows how both sides can be satisfied.

The dogs are really surprised by what the bear does, and it causes both sides to take another look at what they really want.

The author’s one-of-a-kind humor and illustrations are woven throughout this picture book.
The overriding lesson to be learned is: some things can be solved so everyone is happy. Take the time to look for a way that all involved will be satisfied.

Children aged three through seven years old will enjoy this five-star book.

Thank you, Candlewick Press, for providing Tickmenot with a book to review. Opinions are my own.

I thought that this book was hysterical. A toddler slips into her father's home office when he has stepped out, after all, she's just looking. And it won't hurt to take a piece of tape, or a second one. By the time she suddenly realizes that she's overstepped, the room looks like it was decorated for a big event by an office supply store. But Dad has a funny come-back that hopefully ends in a lesson learned and no hard feelings.

New Year's Day family picture book read-aloud celebration! (Book 5 of 5)

This story of a missing pet didn't really do much for me, even though the missing pet was an invisible dinosaur. It's not bad, but it did instantly evaporate from my mind as soon as the back cover was closed.

Another one that I thought OK that my kids loved. Maybe I'm getting old? Anyways, a one-horned calf thinks it is a unicorn, even if it doesn't completely fit the definition.
