An entertaining read by one of the nation's quirkiest founding fathers. Franklin's sense of humor and wisdom shines in the narrative of his own life. As a series of letters written to his son, he holds nothing back. He comments on various blunders of his youth and describes the methods of "self-improvement" he set out to make part of his daily life in order to attempt to become a better person. I think this autobiography's merit lies in Franklin's own self-examination, which offers some timeless words of wisdom. I think anyone can appreciate his attempts to improve himself. It certainly made me reflect on ways I can improve my own habits while I am still young!… (mais)
