Author Event: Melissa Broder (via Zoom) We’re thrilled to celebrate the release of Melissa Broder’s bold, sexy, and hilarious second novel, MILK FED. An Indie Next pick for February, it centers around Rachel, a calorie-obsessed lapsed Jew who longs for meaning and fulfillment. When she meets Miriam, an Orthodox woman who works at the yogurt shop, sparks (and sprinkles!) fly. Unflinchingly honest, unexpectedly moving, and a brilliant checkmate to shame, both carnal and spiritual–Milk Fed is a novel you’ll stay up late to finish reading. Preorders are available now via our website, and signed bookplates are on their way!
Melissa Broder is the author of the novel The Pisces, the essay collection So Sad Today, and five poetry collections, including Superdoom: Selected Poems (Summer 2021) and Last Sext. She has written for The New York Times, Elle.com,VICE, Vogue Italia, and New York Magazine‘s The Cut. Poems appear in POETRY, The Iowa Review, Guernica, Fence, et al. She is the winner of a Pushcart Prize for poetry. Broder received her BA from Tufts University and her MFA from City College of New York. She lives in Los Angeles.
